How Art Can Save Your 2026 (or Even Your Life).

I don’t know if you feel it too… but the world feels strange, doesn’t it?
Too much news. Too many opinions. Too much tension.
A mix of political crises, wars, fear, collective anxiety, economic uncertainty… and this constant feeling that nobody can really breathe properly.
Everyone’s living with a fast mind and a tired heart.
And then life starts turning into this almost automatic cycle:
You work, you solve things, you try to organize the future…
but deep down it feels like you’re always chasing something that never arrives.
Like a dog chasing its own tail.
And when that happens, it’s easy to lose something essential:
Presence.
That’s where art comes in.
Art is not a luxury. It’s a human instinct.
One of the most unfair things life does to us is slowly removing art from our everyday routine.
When we’re kids, we draw, we invent, we create, we dance… we do all of that without asking for permission.
You do it because… it’s natural.
Then we grow up and learn how to “be serious”, how to “be an adult”.
And in that process, art becomes something distant, as if it was only for artists or for people who have extra time. It’s the same old story:
“Art is for rich people.”
“Art is just a hobby.”
“Art is a waste of time.”
But that’s a lie.
Art is a human necessity.
It’s a form of expression that has always existed, from cave walls to today. And without realizing it, we disconnect from this essential part of what it means to be human.
That’s why life starts getting heavier and heavier, and so many people break inside. Because art isn’t just aesthetics, it’s a release valve, it’s emotional language. Art is identity, it’s part of who you are.
Creating is a way to organize your inner chaos.
There are moments when you don’t need more information.
You need clarity.
And clarity doesn’t come only from thinking.
Clarity comes from doing.
When you paint, draw, write, or create anything… you take something confused and intangible inside you and turn it into something real.
You put it out.
And that changes your mental state.
Not because it’s “magic”, but because the human brain needs expression, not just consumption. You need to release that energy that’s been building up inside.
Art gives you control where the world gives you none.
The world is unpredictable.
You don’t control politics, the economy, wars, trends, algorithms, opinions…
But you control the gesture.
You control what you create.
And that’s way more powerful than it seems.
Because when you create, you’re not just surviving the day.
You’re building something inside it.
And you don’t need to be an artist for this to work.
This is a very important point.
Art saves both those who create and those who consume.
Sometimes a song changes your day.
Sometimes a painting gives you a kind of silence you haven’t felt in weeks.
Sometimes an image reminds you of who you are.
Sometimes a sentence enters your mind and becomes fuel to go after something you dream about.
And that’s the opposite of what the world does today.
The world pulls you outward.
Art pulls you inward.
Maybe 2026 isn’t about winning. Maybe it’s about not getting lost.
I don’t think 2026 will be an easy year. Honestly, none of them are. Life is hard, we know that. It’s beautiful to live… but it’s hard.
But regardless, I believe it can be a very powerful year for transformation.
And art is one of the realest ways to go through a difficult time without becoming hard on the inside.
Because the worst thing that can happen isn’t the world becoming chaotic.
It’s you becoming cold.
Cynical.
Numb.
Art prevents that.
It keeps your sensitivity alive.
And sensitivity is strength.
In the end, it’s simple:
If the world feels out of control…
come back to art.
Even if it’s just 10 minutes a day.
Even if it’s only observing.
Even if it’s only sketching.
Even if it’s singing and dancing to your favorite song while cooking dinner.
Because art isn’t only here to decorate life.
It saves us from the inside, it keeps our flame alive. Our will to live.
In other words:
Art is not only what you do or consume.
